.....so u agree then - the 'Elite /Wanna be' riders in the Cape are crap!? That is all I was trying to point out! They can't even finish a Pro/Elite race in JHB -  not even in 3 months time! Big%20smile

I disagree. And anyway, you can only beat what's in front of you mate. Not everyone can move to Jo'burg to race bicycles for no money.

That said, I'll use Martin as an example, in the 94.7 he may not have finished with the break but in the front bunch.

@Tekramz - what exactly is the point of your post?

Sorry for sounding grumpy hubbers, but this post irritates me.

If you can give us your real name and results we can take you seriously.

Besides, the top-tier group needs a name... So they're called "Elites", unfortunately it's not the riders' faults.

Plus the rider who came second is not calling themselves  a pro nor are they under any illusions about what it takes.

And you're talking about someone you don't know from a bar of soap dude. He does have immense ability, I have no doubt, to at least be a local pro.

What a way to prepare for the 2009 season.

It is great to see how passionate cyclists are about their sport and provinces they represent yet these (there are exceptions GL ETC) very selfsame persons are not prepared to put anything back into the sport to help the growth thereof and the retention of their best young riders.

Snip snip...

It's a troll. If you ignore it, it goes away. It's obviously sour 'cos it keeps either getting its bum kicked or its dirty tactics overturned by the stewards.

Shame.

I guess, let Trolls be... Just struck a cord, hence my unlike-me behaviour.

the 94.7 was won by a sub vet in age.

whats wrong with the youngsters in Jhb?

And why didnt the top riders like Robbie Hunter' date=' Froome, Augestyn, Craven race....its like kissing your maid. ( so it was only the Jhb funriders that try and act like pro's and cant make it in Europe)

GL ... as far as my memory serves me, it was said that J-L Augustyn did do the 94.7 but a ride for charity .....

Robbie Hunter I suppose everyone can understand that he would rather spend time with his daughter ....
