Extreamly heavy at about 1.8kg for the frame.

Yes..the kx lights were about 1800g for the frame incl fork. But from what I can remember they had extremly light forks..sub 300g. So the frames were very heavy..for a carbon frame.

Why not look at Time aswell then? But I would suggest just get a Planet-X for less then 7k and be original.

I thought I had a clue about frames etc but now that I'm shopping around there's a zillion frames out there and all of them are apparently "the best".  And to think all I wanted was a full-carbon bike that I could try and be a bit more competitive on LOL

Am now thinking that I have opened a can of worms on myself here ...

I think I should report your post Spidey!!!  I was kinda hoping to find a 2008 Cannondale but alas this is not meant to be.  Quite a jump in price for the 2009 frame so gotta keep shopping around.

Alida, you me, and proberbly 95% of the people here on the hub would not be able to tell the differance in performance from one frame to another. All carbon frames look the same with little nips and tuck here and there so that they can get a nice paint scheme going.

Buy a 'dale and you would like like everybody else. Buy a Trek and people laugh at you. A Raleigh and people will think you are atleast trying. Merida and everybody can see you are on a budget. Get a Planet-X and everybody will think you know your stuff and get alot of stares.

Hmm I wish there was an emoticon for sticking my fingers in my ears and singing "I CAN'T HEAR YOU!!"  Tongue

So just to sum up ... there's nothing terribly wrong with a Look frame except that its not a Cannondale?  Sorry Spidey just don't think I'm going to get enough together for the Dale Cry

Alida maybe you should look at the 2009 Cannondale Synapse or the 2009 Cannondale Six carbon. Both of these bikes are great bikes. The Synapse is very underrated and for next year it is a beautiful bike. Just to confuse you a bit more.
