If riding with your friends' date=' wife,girl friend / boy friend, the vibe etc is so important, ride with them on the first lap.

 

The rule says "no second circuit" why cant you respect that.?

 

As for not drinking the first time round theory, thats just plain ignorant, you get one chance to eat as many bar ones as you can drink as much coke etc as you can ON THE FIRST ROUND, its not held over for you for later, you get one shot and thats it.

my main aim of doing a second lap is to enjoy the vibe and help out the backmarkers. a number of my friends are doing it for their first time and I offered to ride with them

 

Yeah - a beer run on the second lap is awesome - first stop KalkBay, then Simons Town. Helping and pushing back markers along the way.

I'm slow and my start time is late but I also want to do a second lap, so I'll just start with a front bunch and take it easy so I've got enough 'power' to do the second lap. I'm sure the real racers won't mind and they can go around me if I suddenly stop at a water table.

 

I reckon I'll start at about 06:00 ..... anyone else keen, we could ride in a bunch!

 

If someone has a beer or two on their second lap and is involved in a serious accident with a 'legal' rider then said lehal rider would be able to sue the pants of the Argus organisers ...... and don't say it won't happen!!
