I've heard that Logwood will might close in the next month or 2.

Can anyone confirm this?

I love riding at Logwood but I'm always surprised that there are so few people there.

Tell me, why don't more people ride there?

I heard this before from people who go ride at Nothern Farms yet Logwood is no further out than there.

I even know guys who go to Groenkloof in Pretoria that stay in Jo'burg so although I understand that some okes live far away or have transport issues there should still be plenty of guys who can get there no problem.

I bumped into some guys at Logwood that i'd seen at MTM over Christmas and we all agreed that Logwood is much more fun anyway.

The difference between those venues though is that they also offer more trails distance wise. I can easily do a 60km ride out at Northerns and Groenies also has a network of trails with fountains next door. Both these venues also have facilitys for a post ride braai etc.

van Gaalens as well, awesome singletrack and trails from the cheese farm and coffee shop.

Logwood is great, yet for me personally not first on the list as a regular riding spot.

I have the same feeling about the bike park. It is great, but I'm bored with it.

I spoke to Geoff just before 4ways opened and he said the plan was to make Logwood a place that catered for more technical riders. You would kind of graduate from 4ways to ride harder stuff there. He did plan to keep it open but judging by how few people frequent the place it would not surprise me that it closes down. Cry

I'm sure it's very nice if it isn't preceded by 70 hellish km's through the Magaliesberg mountains Dead

I'm sure it's even nicer when it hasn't been raining and it's one big mud bath and you don't feel like you've crossed the river 500 times and the singltrack MUST be ending at some point...

Yes, I'm sure it's very nice Big%20smile
