Mtb race in PE

So what happened in the MTB race in PE? I hear Burry and Anke demolished the fields......

The girls race was pretty tight (well relative). Anke first, Katrine 2nd, Amy Jane 3rd and Sara 4th.

Yeah Burry was at his destructive best, that kid is quick! Kevin held him at about a minute for most of the race, but I think he might have opened up a bit near the end. Mannie Heymans 3rd and Marc Bathingswaite a close 4th. Me, well, I got an ass kicking of note, was good fun!

I'm from PE and only found about the champs on Friday (thanks to this forum). I battled to find info on the event. It was very poorly advertised, I didn't even notice anything in the press. There were hardly any spectators (other than riders and teams etc). I also didn't see any TV cameras.

 

Was this really the SA champs?

First round of the SA champs! Do you wanna know something scary? This is the best organised and attended National I've seen in 4 years. There were cameras there though, well one, and he was changing positions to try and get in as many shots from around the course.
