My first 29er and I'm well impressed - it rolls forever and takes the edge off those nasty grass tufts nicely - a bit "cumbersome" in the tight stuff but overall faster than my Spesh Epic (completely unsubstantiated claim of course!!).

If anybody is keen on one drop me a line I'll hook you up.

I would kill for one of those in single speed with a rigid fork

Kranswurm - Niner make two 29er single speeders:

The S.I.R using Reynolds 853 tubing - real "old school" stuff.

The ONE using Easton SandumGX2 tubing (same tube set as my Niner above) - light and FAST!

Check out http://www.ninerbikes.com/one9.html and http://www.ninerbikes.com/sir9.html for some mouth watering pics...

@Tnose - Garmins are for sissies - real men ride in circles for hours and don't ask for directions Wink

Very nice indeed Eldron & welcome to the world of 29ers !!

We had 3 big wheels racing at Delta Park last week, 2 single speeds and geared Niner.

I am in love

That single speed scandium is the biz

What would something like that set me back?

The whole kaboodle?

Kranswurm - Coolheat are bringng in the Niners - have a chat to Jade on <?: PREFIX = SKYPE /> 011 608 2003 .

@Thug- I'm guessing Jade was the geared Niner at the night race?

I had to choose between the Niner & On One and ended up with the Niner. The biggest reason was weight - the On One wheels are HEAVY - over 2kg per set. I have XTR hubs & Velocity rims. The On One frame was about 100g heavier...

On One is a clear winner on price though. Call me a snob but I thought the Southern California Niner was cooler than the UK garden shed On One LOL

Either way - I'm a huge 29er fan...
