MintSauce Posted February 14, 2007 Share What is it with you guys and your damn Titus'Hardly anyone has them.As scarce as Intense.Must be the cost! They're scarce because they don't do high-volume entry-level bikes. Very low volumes. As i've said before, they are currently pushing up their quantities but until '05 they were doing 2500 frames a year. The big manufacturers do over a million frames a year. "The Titus Racer X is an industry legend, earning accolades and awards in seemingly every year of its existence. The Racer X has seemingly been annually recognized by Bicycling with its "Editor's Choice" award and MTBR.com as its pick for ?Best Full Suspension Bike?. Despite their success, Titus continues to forge ahead, refining the frame to near perfection each year ? it's this progressive approach that keeps both the Racer X frame and the Titus brand at the head of the class." Thug Posted February 14, 2007 Share Aren't those the ones that look like Raleigh's? Are you talkign about Santa Cruz? Last night on SC they showed the new Gary Fisher and they also look like Raleighs now. A letter to MBA that appears in the April 2007 issue........ "Rob Roskopp's (Santa Cruz Bicycles) prediction is proven true by your magazine cover (January 2007).The new Gary Fisher Race Day looks like a Xerox copy of thelong-standing Santa Cruz Superlight. They have almost identical pivotpoint placement, shock mount, and rear triangle designs. But theSuperlight has an inch more travel, sturdier non-house brand componentsand is $355 less". MintSauce Posted February 14, 2007 Share Kranswurm, Bob Feldman from www.bikerbob.com (practically a legend on the Titus forum on MTBR) has a demo 2007 Titus Racer X large. I looked at the geometry and it's very possible it could work for you. How tall are you? Inseam measurement? What specific Cannondale do you ride? The geo worth noting is as follows, toptube/seat tube XL Rush 25.6/19.7XL Prophet 25.6/20.9XL Scalpel 25.5/22 L Racer X 24/21.25XL Racer X 24.6/23.25 ITO seattube length the large RX sits right in the middle of the 3 XL 'dales. Toptube length is a bit shorter but that is something that could fairly easily be compensated for with a laidback post or longer stem. Saying that, you'll also notice that the Racer X large ST/TT lengths are identical to the large Intense Spider you're looking at. Of course there are other considerations. Notably that I doubt it'll sell for the same price as the Spider. Also, the RX is disc specific? No pressure hey....i just enjoy doing the research. Use it, don't use it!
