Cable Cutter

JB, do you do anything other then using end caps on the end of your cables? I dip about 30mm of my cables in some hobby glue and then fit the end cap. This way if the cap comes of the glue still keeps is wires together.

Naaah, I sniff the glue and crimp a cable end on.

I can see that it will work but I'm not a belt and braces guy. If the cap comes off I put another one on.

I also just use the sharp section of my pliers, no pro, just use a sharp knife to open the closed off section again.

My crescent side cutter works 100% on my cables and outers. it does squash the outer slightly but at least my 4 year old son can cut a cable with it, which saves me from having to hire king kong.

Some more common sense.....To help reduce the outer from squashing too much, push the end of an old cable inside the outer and cut through the cable....Once again this is where my crescent comes in very very handyWink

As too cutting the cable skew....who the f*ck will know it's skew once you got the end cap on?
