Wink Hello my name is Frail because I cycle for all Our Old Age Home's.

I am just finnishing my world tour, sailing round the world.

I have been raising sponsorship, I organise different ride's to raise awareness for Our Old Age Home's (F.R.A.I.L.).

On my arrival to South Africa, I am to land in JHB on Friday 27th February and on Monday the 2nd of March, I will start my EPIC cycle to Cape Town .

Over 3DAYS or 56 hours / 500Km per 18hour day. With no vehicles and no sleepover's.I might go for guinness book of records??

If there are any cyclists keen to join the RIDE and help the Elderly?

My main stop / starts will be JHB, Bloemfontein, Worcester and Cape Town.

Please if anyone is interested leave an email in my box or phone after the 26/02/2009.

Keep the wheels turningClap

Welcome back David ! We rode together to Bonnievale league race with City Cycle bus. Sounds like you are going to have one mean ride on your hands Cool Just pre-order your super size slap chips meals from every Wimpy en-route and you'll be fine. I've never encountered anyone who eats as much as you though, so ask for the super-super-size LOL Post your progress on the web if you can and contact us when you get to CT.

Update .. David sent me an SMS saying he needs some help entering Cape Town. I'm not familiar with the routes into CT [i'm new to the province] but would sure appreciate it if somebody could call or SMS David on 0714067007 to assist him on his journey. Keep us posted whoever responds. Thanks Hubbers !

once he is over the mountain (du toits / Bainskloof) then he can cycle along the R101 , past Simonsvlei (big wine bottle), Klapmuts, Muldersvlei, turn left onto R304 to Stellenbosch and then right onto Bottelray. up into Bellville, along Frans Conradie (12th Avenue). From there he can either take the Voortekker Road thru Goodwood, Maitland , Salt River or the Atlantic option, thru Milnerton, Paarden Eiland.  i would recommend Voortekker Road becos there will be less wind.

.. umm, he did say he would finish Wednesday 4th March .. which is today Confused .. but he may be disappointed when he gets to the expo, as it only opens tomorrow. I don't have the heart to tell him this though ..

just received a sms from David "on way to town.finished.back in CT".

he asked me to speak with the Premier of WC as he had emailed her office with the details of his trip etc etc. i spoke with her spokesperson and she was not able to arrange any official welcoming party as his trip was "unofficial". but she did say that he must contact her and arrange to meet and discuss certain possibilites of help for his cause.
