Why do bicycle shops give such bad service! It's not as if they can survive without the business.I constantly battle to get stuff ordered or get my bike repaired properly.People that I train with have the same problems.I won't mention the shop names....

gotta agree with bigben here. yes, some shops screw up from time to time, but it's the exception not the rule. on the order side, i think the majority of the blame should go to the agents.

Must say I have also heard of a case where the agents got blamed but the shop had never even discussed it with them ........

I too recall reading something about that on thehub and from what i hear the party in question no longer uses that shop.

It is extremely easy to order stuff from any of the great sites on the net.Prices are very competitive even with the current excahnge rate.Just reckon some of them should up their game.

LBSs are like smartie boxes, you never know what you are going to get. If shops were more consistent it would make everyone's lives better.

Waiting to see how Cyclelab is going change with new ownership and increased competition.

Stick with one shop and build a good relationship with them.

Not sure about you guys, but i choose to service my bikes myself... and if its a problem I can't fix then a reserved visit to the lbs is made.

And ordering? seems one can almost cut them out of the loop with the likes of CRC etc bring stuf in cheaper and quicker (?) generally.... locals agents also sometimes are not prepared to order in certain parts - that is a load of BS if you ask me!

I service my bike most of the time but take it for an annual doctors visit at the LBS just in case I missed something a mechanic would pick up through his experience. It's amazing how much you can pick up just watching a mach work on a busy Saturday morning
