RacerX Posted March 8, 2009 Share Cool story on biking in New York - same challenges everywhere! "Meanwhile, another biker was about to pass him, and pedestrians in the intersection now scattered like deer. And I was thinking, ?No wonder they hate us.? Because they do hate us, they being nonbikers and us being bikers." http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/08/nyregion/thecity/08bike.html?pagewanted=1&_r=
Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted March 8, 2009 Share much like what was said here not too long ago - clean our own closets out.. Good to see it's not only here though (naive, i know - but sometimes we think it's a uniquely south african attitude when it's clearly not)
vanniri Posted March 8, 2009 Share In Sau Paulo, Brazil, they apparently do regular organised night cycling on the city roads to avoid traffic. Saw an article about it the other day on an inflight magazine. The article did not mention at which times they cycle, but the author did mention they had to dodge a few vehicles and were shout and hoot at.
