  1. What a load of marketing gibberish. Was most appropriate to find a Defender advertisement at the end of the story.
  2. You were born with balls, thus you took them for granted. She on the other hand...
  3. As both a consumer and supplier of WW I am totally unimpressed with them, all marketing and nothing else.
  4. Once coming down F/hoek pass I could hear the ABS clapping from a superbike braking for me... Also saw two guys on bikes at different times taking a tumble in front of me, one not more than 10 meters in front (after passing me) loosing control. I stopped and picked up his fenders and some scrap. He never got up... Passed at least two bikers under blankets on Hels and Franschhoek - excl the above. Luckily I live close to the F/hoek pass, as such I have ample opportunity to ride it. Plenty of times I have turned around when either cars or bikes are using it as a racing track. About a year ago a bakkie with a trailer passed me while descending, he ever so slightly clipped me with the trailer. Took a tumble at >70km/h. Hardest I have ever fallen... Stay safe
  5. Are you planning to discipline some vagrants or just happy to see me?
  6. They started this project at the height of the market, entering with product at the slump. Who knows where the bottom is and when the turning point is? I like the company and its products, hopefully the timing of this bold move doesn't drown them. On the up side they sticked to a sensible frame material, i.e. alu
  7. You can keep the pillow, I am based in the WC and regularly uses the Wineland trails. PM me and I'll tag it along to some meeting or dropoff point
  8. Low risk of me replying. Fomo is a foreign concept to me
  9. After registering as a user some days ago, I received the following dodgy email. Anyone else having received the same?
  10. I have an Oakley nose bridge thingy. See photo below. Maybe someone needs one, my glasses broke, hence the surplus thingy
  11. Lots of buzz around him joining, mostly reflectinh negatively on SC's "deemed" attitude and Norco's built quality. For now GM seems to be the loved one in the story.
  12. Franschhoek pass on a windy day will hand you a head-, tail- and side-wind from both sides in one go.
  13. Breville easily outclasses the Kenwood. If price is the main issue, consider the Breville Bambino.
  14. Brand new. Did not have a camera to take photo. Had a look at the website - my guess would be Rydon or Rydon Slim I deposit it with the lady at the entrance gate. She locked it in the lost and found.
  15. The Syndicate seems to went out of their way to create a place for Steve after his retirement from racing. Would be interesting to see if this arrangement continues. If not, it is surely a sign of hardtimes and most probably why GM was let go.
  16. You can add Philips to the list also: https://www.philipscpapcancerlawsuit.com/news/phillips-dreamstation-cpap-turns-into-a.asp
  17. Bike Yoke Revive is in a class of its own. Fully rebuildable with no special tools.
  18. Anyone remotely interest in this subject will do well to read the industry view report following the Sea Otter Classic in the US. See Singletrack magazine for the report.
  19. Ok, received the service kit from Shimano. Installed the relevant part - service kit comes with three parts. Clutch still not working, i.e. no resistance whatsover. Then realised the problem (also the root cause imo) was the little adjuster. It seems the holding plate bent outwards, resulting in the mechanism not engaging - see photo. I suppose the clutch mechanism broke during it being forced to move by hand whilst being engaged. I can't recall having done this but it is possible. Also maybe when I got the bike serviced? Unble to lay the blame at anyone's door t this late stage. Maybe more a lesson for all out there...
  20. Thanks Chris F, ordered from Evobikes for R175 Shimano (whomever the local distributor is) had in stock in Jhb.
  21. My thoughts exactly. The clutch was not engaging, so I opened it (serviced it before) and started to remove the parts for cleaning/re-grease, the complete clutch unit came off, normally only the ring and adjuster would. When I inserted a screwdriver to open the ring the one point came-off (It did not sound or felt like a snap). I applied virtually zero force, to me it felt as if it was already seperated. Anyway, I'll buy a service kit and fix it.
