A bit off-topic.

BL, you must try the BBB arm warmers. The cheapest in the country and flippen warm. And it keeps it shape unlike the SA manufactured ones.

I think with every brand there is bound to be duds, i have 3 pairs of Santini and after about 3 months the stitching came loose around the waist on one but the others not.

 and the other from 2003

imho, if you can afford the Assos, go for it. I bought some a while back, and was so impressed I bought a second pair. I also use the Assos cream, and the Assos washing liquid. You will always find cheaper, but at that level, I don't believe you'll beat the quality. Fit is always a personal thing though.

pfft, what Quality, it's all hype, they even got you buying there Stupid A$$ cream and Washing Power, tsk tsk, they got you good. If it's so wonderfull why all the after market stuff?!

I bought some R250 bibbs from CWC , well two pair now cuz they are way better than Assos. It was old stock and they newer ones are R600 I think, geat value for money and the best I've had so far. It's made in Italy, Brand name is www.raiko.de

I've owned Cape Storm and First Ascent, both are crap imo. The Padding is to little same with Anatomic, no matter what class, from Silver to Gold. Had some Howzit's also and Vermarcs, nothing beats the Raiko make.

Just got two pairs of Gore Bibbs, well picking them up this afternoon, got a good deal and needed some plain black ones thought I'll test them as well since the Raiko ones are branded.

Like I said, it's my opinion. Use it, don't use it. Maybe inferior products work on an inferior a$$! Wink

Say what you want but Assos to me are worth every cent I spent on them. Love all 3 pairs and hate racing in team it after a week of training in Assos.

I like the Pad Assos uses, I got no problem with it, it's the 2de best one I've used so far, it's the material they use I have a problem with, it's simply don't last.

Ask Lilo as well, she's on her 3de pair already. She don't even train half the amount I do and hers also just lasted a year per pair.

Welif you pay R3000 for a pairof shorts, then they will be the bee's kneeseven if they are overpriced and crap.

I'd never buy another pair today at hese prices. Even whenI got mine I paid around R1200 per pair which was a lot for cycling shorts at the turn of the century
