You've all got it wrong.

A real man will take the fastest, easiest route to get it sorted so he can go ride his bike. Which is what I'm going to do in a little while.

Is cutting a kcnc seatpost the same? Anyone ever cut theirs to lose weight (been looking at weightweenies.com!)

just remember..... cutting any seatpost will result in the supplier not warrenting a claim should something go wrong or the post snaps off....

Thanks mtbking didn't think of that. Anyone cut their seatpost to shave a couple of grams? I checked my seatpost last night and I about 8cm past the min insert!

Interestingly enough, when i contacted Omnico about getting me a short EC90 Seatpost, they told me they only bring the long 400mm post to SA, and if i want it short, i would have to cut it down myself. As long as it was cut properly, they would still warrantee it. Confused

As opposed to only cutting it half-way?

I dunno, they did tell me how to cut it, but i cant really remember all the details. I think a pipe cutter was needed? Anyway, needless to say went onto CRC and bought the short one for much less that i could get it here, and i didnt have to worry about cutting a two thousand rand seatpost!

(P.S. HOG, I found all the manuals and stuff that came with the M4, They were at the bottom of my tool box! So on the next ride, ill bring them for you.)

(Yes please! That thing is giving me tons of hassles! Angry More noise than brakes. Need to buy washers today to align it properly, and if that doesn't work I'm taking it to Mike's so they can try to fix it. I've tried new pads, old pads, will try the other rotor this weekend. I can't win! Still love it though, it looks mean! LOL)
