Willehond: Where is Swissvan based? Just curious as I worked as a ski-guide in Verbier myself.

Strange, you should have bumped into him then, but seeing how little he's been on the slopes it's no surprise....

I did my skiing helmetless at Veysonnaz!

Don't see how that could get you kicked off the hub. It really is plain and simple - wear a helmet. They can save you from serious injury' date=' like in this video I posted the other night:

Well the helmet no helmet topic has been debated plenty on the hub over the years, thought some might be sick enough off it to get aggro and complain about me bringing it up again...

Oh yeah and if I mentioned helmets in the topic no one would have read any further LOL

from what I've heard is that Natasja Richardson stood up after the fall as if nothing's happened. Apparently she only started feeling unwell some time after the fall.

Verbier is to far from my cave to go to on a regular basis, been there twice in 6 yrs.. gr8 slopes.

Last time i was there i actualy (before i wore a helmet) fell on a frozen section (ice), knocked myself out and grazed my face quite badly...and have no recollection of falling...

We used to take the guests once a week skiing down the 4 Vallees to Veysonnaz and depending on the guests either ski back or catch a bus via some warm spa pools back to Verbier.

Wearing helmets is very popular amongst skiiers and makes a lot of sense. The slopes are full of young, fast snowboarders who cause a lot of accidents with skiiers. Here, they don't have separate areas. My nephew goes skiing with his school each week of winter and it's mandatory.  A lot of olympic competitors are wearing them, across all disciplines.

Apparently Richardson was having a ski lesson and not going fast either so if she's a beginner, all the more reason for wearing one.

Ive broken many helmets in crashes.

It could of been my head shredded to peaces but luckily the helmet claimed that job?!?!?!?
