There must me a lot of you that have had wheels build in <?:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Cape Town area.<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Let me have the name of the guy that truly knows what he is doing. I am a bit of a perfectionist so I really really need a guy who know what he is doing even up to getting the tension exactly the same on the spokes.

VO2Max You provided the answer yourself..... get somebody who uses a spoke tensiometer. This story about feeling the tension or listening to the ring of the spokes is really bullsh!t. Nobdy has THAT perfect sense to determine spoke tension and YES the secret lies in perfect tension all round for front wheels and differing tension between drive and non drive side to compensate for the dishing effect. I used a Park STM and got it right. Detensioning of the wheel is a must and riding the wheel and rechecking afterwards is also a must. DO NOT GO DIRECTLY TO YOUR RACE WITH A WHEEL THAT HAS NOT BEEN PROVEN AS STABLE!!!!!! I also "locked" the nipple heads with a thread locking fluid.

WARNING!!!! DO USE ONE THAT CAN BE LOOSENED AFTERWARD.... NOT ANY THREAD LOCK CAN BE USED.

Wheel tensioning is NOT a dark art. If I could master it anybody that can change an electrical plug can do the same.
