What is even more disturbing is that they are part of the international edition of BICYCLING' date=' thus most of their content is from overseas journalists...copy and paste and add some SA content....I HOPE THEY (Bicycling Editor and his team) READ ALL THIS COMMENTS....I also see that Tim Brink is not the editor anymore....I wonder?????....???? was he maybe demoted because of how the mag has fallen from grace!!![/quote']

I see you are a regular reader of the magazine, Gerhardc. You must be, to be so knowledgeable on its content. I am surprised you missed, therefore, my final Ed's letter, in the March issue, where I explained precisely 'what was going on'.

As Mr Holy Roller, he of the many posts, said; why not just pm me and ask me?

Hell, my username even matches my real name. I am not that difficult to get hold of.

What does the C stand for in yours?

Will check my inbox through the day - looking forward to a chat.

My Tread Mag "should"arrive today ... can't wait.

It must be said RE the lovely lady on the Bicyling Mag cover when reading the splurb saying who she is and where she is riding the type of bike ... bla bla bla that they say "Lisa is taking a break on while on her Trail ride".

Really now ... should you be doing any sort of ride you do "glow" a little and the bike and rider would not be so clean!

he's a member of this forum. why don't you just pm him and ask rather than speculate?

Well, excuse me Roller...as you see I am only a Rookie and do not have 20200 posts, thus I can speculate as much as I can as I do not know all the members...

?and sarcastic with it too?i apologise so much for trying to point you in the right direction?

wow, does Magenta even know how to be sarcastic ?

Mmm not often you get to hear the skinner about yourself, it is actually quite refreshing when people aren't trying to present themselves well. Speaking as the editor of Ride, I have to say that I have NEVER had to print a bogus letter. The Q&As are an entirely different matter. We get hundreds of "which bike should I buy?", or problems that require a bit of negotiation out of the public eye, but not much else. Not even pretty attractive prizes seem to help! Now we use syndicated Q&As (see the licensing info on the masthead) because they cover a range of topics, can be customised for local applications, and please our readers who don't like the long articles. In this case I believe the source is less important than the quality, but clearly there are other points of view?
