Slowbee Posted April 9, 2009 Posted April 9, 2009 ok so we meeting at waterstone car park at 7am. me be there. sounds like loads of hills mmmm will have to bring a camera to take photo's for the views you see and if the camera is on the bag, it will mean we have to stop to take the pack off, camera out take photo, put it back ... but I think you get the general idea.

[/quote'] The views are amazing and its a nice quiet road. Went past Spanish Farm on my way home again from work, thank goodness for gears and lots of fluids

On my way home today I saw the jeep track where going to use, hectic, will pack in my hiking boots. Btw who was the one that came past me (4:30pm ish) in yellow that went up the track? I was waiting at the stop street with my bike for my wife (in her car). She wanted to see how steep the road was and I don't think she believed me when I said I went up Spanish Farm yesterday
fandacious Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 wow - that was absolutely awesome. Thanks to slowbee for pitching up this morning with tea, coffee, easter eggs and croissants! We spent just under 4 hours in the saddle discovering miles and miles of pristine secret single track. And the weather was absolutely perfect. I hope we can do something like this again SOON!

Pada Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 Today I saw a huge group of MTB riders meeting at the Van Rede / Strand Road crossing in Stellenbosch @ 7:00. They said they are riding every Tuesday & Thursday @ 05:00 and on Saturdays @ 7:00 - lights required for weekdays ofc. I think they are riding to Jonkershoek/Franschoek/1 other direction if I can remember correctly. Can anyone just verify if this for me?
