After a few teething issues, I will be putting this together next week, and in true "me" style will be racing within 3 days of building it, hey, how else do you know if it works right?

This is going to be the first time I own and ride a hardtail for about 4 or 5 years, not to say my Titus is going away (it isn't, things of eternal beauty never do), just that I'm quite intrigued to see how this puppy rides.

Building it up with a 100mm travel Reba on the front, a mix of XTR and SRAM stuff and some nice new hoops! Also experimenting with the wheel build and rims (it's built with different front and back rims on purpose).

Pics and general comments to follow.

Can't remember anymore, and no don't have spare battery packs for either, they both burn for almost 8 hours so never really been a need for it.

You should enjoy the bike. I did a 106km ride on it within a week of owning it, and 60km the next day, after only riding FS bikes for the last couple of years. Had no issues, it's almost like it sits between a 26 HT and a short travel FS bike, more comfort than a normal HT, but obviously less forgiving than a FS.

Think we need to have a virtual clubhouse, kinda like Crappy Shorts / Cough Syrup used to. LOL

We can call it "I ride a bike designed by Brant Richards" LOL

Okay, so I built it up last night! Haven't been able to ride it yet but will get round to it tonight and then a whole bunch of that tomorrow!

It has gear but that will change soon enough.

Can hardly wait, will post pic's and a proper report on Monday.

So, it got christened in the worst way possible! Set the bike up and all was cool on Friday night.

Hit the straps on Saturday and it was working pretty well, about 60km in my calves were cramping and I figured it was from the cold, it wasn't, got hom and found out my seat was about a cm too high.

Other than that the bike felt solid, back was stiff laterally but didn't feel too harsh over bumps. The 29" wheels help alot with this and getting over washboard bumps on the roads as well.
