Tazzman and others attending Saturdays little excusrion:

How about we get all of you who have committed to this weekends WWRR to come out South so we can show you the real hills?

I will organise iwth some of our fellow southern cyclist to come up with a ride that will make your Kdorp hill seem like a speed bump.

And I aint talking about SBR either. We can all meet at Panorama Shopping Centre and go for a little southern hill cruise.

Just got news from the Mrs that the kids have been invited to a party on Saturday, so I will be riding with you until the 67km point, at the top of Sterkies, where I will be turning the other way to make my way home.

So that means I will be riding through on the bike and not in the car as originally anticipated.

See you all there.

BTDT didn't get a T-shirt. Always willing to pop in again. The one I wouldn't mind having a go at is Comaro, havn't done that yet.

Did Butchers on the way back from the Fast One the last 2 years, it hurts when you already have 170km in the legs.

Slave - you really think we should consider riding with these people. They seem to be in a totally different class bud. We are outclassed here.

We need to take a hike while we still can. No help crying afterwards.Embarrassed

hmmm... judging by the list of riders, I'm seriously reconsidering joining this ride too.  It looks like I'll be the slowest rider and likely to hold up the worksEmbarrassed.... but I have a newly pimped ride that I have to test, will have to think carefully over the next coupla days Big%20smile

Sheesh...sounds like the Slave is really stirring this pot!

So glad I'm not gonna be there, coz this is gonna get ugly fast!

IanJ...my good friend, do not for one second think that Butchers and Comaro can be compared!! I'd ride Butchers 5times in a row rather than 1 ascent of Comaro!!

Slave, here is a list of things not to say on the Hub...

1. Shimano? Why'd you buy Shimano?

2. Can I advertise my car in the classifieds?

3. Are there any single women on this site?

4. Lance is clean

5. Lets show the northerners some real hills! (especially when some of them take their cycling SO seriously they could almost qualify for PROTOUR status!)

My northern chums, please go easy on my mate...he knows not what he says!!

But you will certainly enjoy his company...so much so that you'll soon be down to ride some real hills with us in the south!!!!!

The one thing that Saturday will NOT be is a race !!! We have a rule in all our club and social training rides that we stop and regroup at the top of every hill or where necessary so no one gets left behind.

Nancy Drew you'd better be there or I will  have to get Big Ben to order you a special blouse too.

GO, I know you can't compare, they are different hills but I would like to give Comaro a go just for the challenge.

Nancy, please do not reconsider! There will be more cyclists than just you at the back if that is where you want to ride,.Trust me on this smiley2.gif

IanJ, I agree completely. NO RACING and we wait for each other.

Saturday will be a very loooong day in the saddle for me (actually my longest ride since the 1991 Vasbyt!), so this is an endurance ride, not a speed fest.

HA HA HA, that's a laugh ND, I'll be the one doing the holding up of the group (I haven't touched my bike in more than a month due to flu and family responsibilities) ... but like you, I've got a newly pimped ride that I need to test, so we'll be seeing you there then?!

Training is for training. I have the WWRR as a training ride? Or has an entrance fee been charged that I am not aware of?

Racing supposed to be for racing (although Slave is a pre-programmed racing machine)

This is a Ox organized group ride, so yes, we will wait to regroup when needed (as we did on heidelberg trek not so long ago)

that way even I will be able to say I managed to ride with these guys and gals for 100k's. Gonna be something for the CV!

How cold is today?!Ouch
