ok kill the suspense...

My cellphone tells me the following:

900 m / sec = 3240 km/h

2700 feet / sec = 2962.656 km/h

Slave, I've spoken to the authorities (trying to put in a good word for you) and good news: you do not need a visa for the WWRR smiley1.gif

HOWEVER some bad news....

If you insist on bringing a rifle the visa will cost $10,000,000.00 (US), a hunting (rifle carrying) license will cost the same as well. All payable in advance in hard currency (or gold bullion) at an address to be confirmed later. smiley36.gif

Ok, ok. I will leave the rifle at home of you promise to make sure there are no crocodiles in the area we ride in.

10 billion is more than a few Dollars. If I had that much, I would have put in a bigger offer for GOv2.0's Prince.

Andy, I am going to leave the binocs at home for this trip. I am going to find a small pair for our next trip to SBR, but only if Nance is with us.

If you join the ride, I may need them to see how far ahead you are.

Oh ok. Well glad you leaving the rifle at home. We wouldn't want you to compare cycling speeds with bullet speeds! Although take your rifle on the next ride up the steps, it might make everyone ride behind you and then you will be the first up the steps!

I am definitely keen for the SBR ride! But will ride with you so I can borrow your binocs.

Er Andy. I hate to break this to you this way, but remember:

Item 1. You may be from out Norf (an all and all), but you are still a new kid on the block.

I can understand OXand Nance wanting Visas, gold cards, mastercards etc, but dude, you are not yet in that position of might and power.

Item 2. You may be fast, but refer item 1, you're still the new kid round here.

Item 3. Agteros has a position of seniority as does Nance. Refer items  1 and 2.

Item 4. You have to earn your stripes around here to pull rank. (In other words, we have to meet your first before we will enter you onto ourfranchise of selling Visas and for that, Kid has cornered that market.) Refer tems 1 through 3. Wink

Item 5. If you go outside of the chain of command, the Kid may be forced to employ the skills of our local doctor who will teach you water polo in a pair of kids special shoes. (cement no less.) Capice?

They guys on the Alberton & JHB South thread always harp on about the hills on the other side of town. So how about a road group ride to show all and sundry some of the hills out on the west?

Route

The idea is to start Riverstone on the Muldersdrift/Aviato road' date=' go towards the Cradle towards the Lion Park, turn left towards the N14, go over the Krugersdorp Hill (Paardekraal / R28) onto Robert Broom, down past Sterkfontein Hospital onto the road towards Mrs Pless' Cave, back towards the Lion Park, straight towards Lanseria, right onto Beyers Naude, either right towards the Cradle again or straight towards Muldersdrift, and back to Riverstone.

Via Muldersdrift it is about 78km with a Cryfew hills inbetween

Any other ideas for the route (keeping / adding undulations Wink)?

All who want to ride along, say aye!!!

Thanks Andy, It's a beeeach getting old, blind, forgetful and just downright stupid. Of course I speak for my own (in) ability.Embarrassed

So we can do SBR on 20th then?

Nance, you think there are no hills out South. Largely, you're right. But then again, you need to ride the berg bus with us. There are one or two little bumps out that way.

SBR on va uvva hand, has only three tiny little bumps. And they HURT.Ouch
