i have those and i hate them. they are so noisyShocked

If I can adopt and edit a line someone gave me a while back....go faster, then the wind will disguise the noise coming from the cages (which in itself is just weird???) smiley17.gif

I just use el cheapo's and bend them in a bit to fit tighter.

+1 what Scotty said.

Goto sportsmans warehouse or somewhere, and get the no-name brand ones for R20. Bend it.

If that's not good enough, then look for something with a more suitable brand-name like the one below:

Specialized plastic ones, as can be seen on Yang's thread 'intern I got summing to show ya'. Those ones right there have seen me through 2 Cape Epics, a Sani2c, a Sabie X and a whole bunch of marathon races. I use 750ml bottles and have never, ever had one go AWOL.

If you bend the cage the bottles won't fall out but you'd struggle to take them out and put them back in....try doing that at a bit of a speed.....

It's all about the bend.

Bend = Speed * Terrain(Roughness^2) / ArmStrengh * 2Pi(Bottle Radius)

Just look for the old style(that's what I was talking bout and seems Intern has the same ones. The new ones look good but I don't know if they work as well as their looks.

And while we on the topic of cages.....HR you got any Spez rd cages in white (new look) going on sale this weekend? smiley17.gif

I always test the ease of getting my bottles in and out before riding and adjust when required. The only down side to using el cheapo's is that they mark your bottles pretty badly.

I have only one Bottle cage on my Bike, so It better be good. Mine takes 1L bottles as well as normal( It doesnt have the lip at the top) and I have never lost bottles. A one L bottle filled to the top is heavy and only sits in the cage about halfway but the design is good so the bottle is "pinched" when it is pulled out in any way but straight to the top, but its stil very easy to get in and out.

I find those Wire cages like someone posted above doesnt work, with ful bottles they flex to much. you need something like the first Spez posted or this one like mine, as long as the shape is right Its cool. The one Mamparra posted Should also work.

I cant even remember what mine is..
