Anyone else fortunate enough to have half a friday and keen for the mast? Looks like a great day for it, leaving the parking lot @ 2 smiley4.gif

ok, it's a great view, but I really don't understand this obsession with THE MAST. Why go ride your mtb up a tar road so steep you have to fry your brakes coming back down? Just a point, I do still do it now and then.

Gimme silvermine loop anyday. I like to go park off at noordhoek peak and decide which mansion i'll buy when my ship comes in. some of them must have single daughters

Was just looking to get some distance in, and I want to be able to say I've at least done it once. Granted, tar is terrible, but plenty of singletrack on the way down to make up for it...

MT - check the date boot, was actually for Friday. My bike's still in a few pieces after yesterday's mudding. Back up and jamming by tomorrow though...

Hey you trolls must come do the 9-5, Its going to be great fun. Its tomorrow at delvers. team relay, Ive got 2 couch potatoes and a wanabee racer and then me, But all of them can pack away beer. I think we might go on the downdown format. everytime someone finishes a lap, everyone downs a beer. Well I wil see how we keep up.

Sounds like fun, but I'm having to stash my pocket change for a new drivetrain before Knysna. Bleh. Have fun, and don't ride over beercans on your bike. It gets messy.

I hear you dude, I almost blew it, The chain I just put on after my 1st wasnt even 1000km old skipped on one of the cogs I think because the cog was more whorn (sh*t how do you spellit haha) than the others. So Now I have to keep It very clean otherwise It skipps.

Its not cheap. I find that most of the time its better value for bucks to just buy a crankset than to replace the rings.

Big ring's still fine, only recently got quick enough to actually use it smiley24.gif

So I'll see if I can get away with chain, cluster and small ring. Still over a gorilla, but gotta be done. This time I'll keep a better eye on chain wear...
