There is a DVD that you can buy for R99 from bike shops - I don't know the name but it has a Bianchi 928 on the front cover. It has everything that you need to know in it.

There is nothing more satisfying than being able to fix your bike yourself - it just requires a littl patience!

Howzit, glad you came right.

There are many aspects of bike maintenance and the hub is an awesome place to get it. Any questions in particular or concerns you have. It generally helps to get the thread going.

Else keep well and hope to see you on the trails

I see the bike is a 9 speed, check out info on chain wear. Its a serious bugbear that can cost you a fortune if not looked after. You will need to measure your chain for wear. If you ride with a worn chain (will still look fine) you will damage your chainrings and end up replacing just more than your chain.

Using the dvd and bike manuals such as park tool you can just about do every maintenance job and even build a complete bike from scratch, whether you want to is another story.

A worm chain works very well with worn blades . But I want to give my DT to Johan one day when I replace it for his expert opinion on it . A clean "stretched" chain is better than a new dirty one imho . smiley2.gif

Very true, ended up last night reading up about WD-40 and chains. Very interesting. Chain maintenance can get quiet complicated if you want to, but golden rule applies: Keep it Klean Thumbs%20Up

Did my own experiment about this: Road twice in Kogelberg with a very clean chain and it was great. Left it dirty on purpose and threw on some wet lube, well actually I drowned it. Let the dirt and grim build up for a few rides and the bike now sucks.
