I am cross-posting with another thread, so only flame me once.

 

If I read that Delta has said in this thread, then the rep should be drawn and quartered for being a prize tjop! The fact that Specialized have made a business decision (the merits of which have been discussed here) does not mean the rep should shoot his mouth off to the LBS staff.

 

He needs and deserves a kick in the keys - the bally-keys!

My local Hustler Xtreme shop stopped stocking Private Collection DVDs because the agency has been taken away from them due to them not moving enough stock. So does anybody know where I can brown lock-on grips that does not cost R300.

Do they still stock the Vivid range ?Big%20smile

It's cool that we have forums to post on to rant and rave etc... And if a rep were to behave like that he/she should be righteously bollocksed out!

 

Still, since you deal with the suppliers I'm sure you know who in a more senior capacity to take it up with as well, or further if need be?

Just thinking, you might have a better resolution as a shop owner that way, rather than hoping someone senior reads the forums all day.

Sounds a little fishy, maybe someone has greased his palm for the agency in your area. His reasons are not enough to withdraw the agency.

Jislaaik I hate idiots like that ! Was actually thinking of replacing my aging Giant with a Spez, before I knew they had such a  snoity-toity-attitude!!!

So will be Giant again then !

if it was my shop i'll stir and send a complaint to specialized self. get them to take the specialized imports away from that.... (another word for donkey?)

This is very strange to me .I had a warranty claim on a specialized frame and received nothing but great service from them

Hillel, I think the service you get depends on a number of factors:

 

(i) Your relationship with your LBS

(ii) Your LBS relationship with the Rep

(iii) The Rep's relationship with his manager.

 

You might get away with the LBS relationship to a degree (some guys are just helpfull & nice), but the other two are critical.

This is all the Rep's fault.

 

Reps are supposed to be "ambassadors" for the brand which they promote....and now throught he action(s) of one rep, the brand suffers!

 

DH, I would get on the honker and call as high up as possible and give 'em a piece of your mind....in these day and age one cannot afford to get a bad reputation though some crappy employees' fault!!

 

Personally, I'm thinking the rep himself was shooting his mouth off because he himself has to pay for fuel & transport costs to "service" his client....so, sales commissions are bad for him and now HE is bitching about having to service your shop...
