I happen to know some decent hubbers. I hope you were not offended by what I said. And I agree with you (and have often said on the Hub before) that everyone has and is entitled to their opinion. Nevertheless, not everything that was said was tongue in cheek and the general attitude to women in cycling (especially on the Hub) leaves a lot to be desired. I still think that, instead of just criticising, more could be done to encourage women to cycle and compete, thereby increasing the numbers participating in the women's races.

Set them a target of having to finish X minutes after the men and after that the prize money gets less.

The ladies overseas don't race the same races as men, we have quite a unique situation here in South Africa. and I bet most of those international females will leave you boytjies behind...look at the criterium our MTN ladies did in Canada, Average was over 50km/h. So it's not the speed but the dynamics!!

Thus the speeds are high The ladies on the other side do not have testosterone. Thus to them Strong = outwit. But to outwit, you need brains.
