Sorry to do this mate. Well actually, I'm not. 1 Handlebar. A pair of Handlebars. Same as a pair of pants. You don't say "my pants is too tight for me" (unless your name is Vernon) do you? YOu say "my pants ARE too tight for me". Same can be said for Handlebars. Or bars, for that matter. Handlebar is definitely singular, and Handlebars denote plural. Even though bars are (plural again) made up of a single bar (mostly, anyway) if you drop a handlebar, it is dropped. If you drop handlebars, they ARE dropped. The "S" changes everything. The handlebars were dropped by xmm vs The handlebar was dropped xmm. My preference is for handlebar. I can see a pair of STI's, pair of calipers, but I only see one handlebar.
