I agree with Auction Lamb. Last week will be a tour within a tour. Some monster Alpine climbs on Tue & Wed, the finishes are at the base of the mountain - if you have a 1 or 2 min gap at the summit, you can stay away till the finish.

TT on Wed

Thu looks like another hard one, lumpy, cat 2 climb before the finish - not one for the sprinters.

Sat is Ventoux.

Anybody with GC aspirations would have planned to peak in this week.

It is just too early now to write of Cadel, Andy, Sastre etc. Those climbs will weaken Astana's domestiques, and then it will be a GC contenders battle.

I stull think the route in the 1st 2 weeks is stupid.

guys what are you smoking..this is probably the most exciting tdf in years...the pyreness is just a taste of what is to come...with most of the main favourites within in 2minutes of each other...every stage so far had a great story and I would think tv ratings have shot up again. Yesterday everybody excpected that the break is going to make it, than everybody thought it would be caught and then it just survived. And to add a little spice andy schleck gets a puncture 5km to go, and mr Voigt pulls him back with a superpull.

I agree with Epoh

It's a very negative tour so far - More than a week gone and nobody tested positive.

Not as interesting as last year where you'd see a super-human performance by different guys to win different stages only to find out four days later it was indeed....errrr....superhuman.

I like this Tour so far and there's plenty more good stuff to come.

& the scenery is nice.

Astana by far has the best doctors in the tour. Those okes work at the front day in and day out without tiring out, impressive. LA: I'm doing it for cancer (a year ago), I'm doing it for the team and will support whoever is strongest (6 months ago) I've won the tour 7 times so you can't write me off as a contender; I don't think a team should have one leader only (2 weeks ago), Contador taking seconds back was not in the plan (a couple days ago).

What a giant tool he is. Never seemed to have a problem with only 1 team leader in the old days.

That makes for an exciting tour, y'know.

nothing to exciting so far' date=' astana too strong and the other teams too weak.[/quote']

and then when mr boring himself, cadel, tries to make things interesting, everyone mocks him.

Some people are just not happy unless they are complaining!?! Ok, its your opinion dude...but really. Do you expect them to tear each other to shreds every stage? We've only had 2 proper bunch sprints...one of which had suffered an exciting split...

The TTT was super cool...

The leaders are so close together its frigging fantastic!

But, I'm sure you are the kinda guy that had you been riding you would expect us all to believe it was the hardest TDF in history.

Quit complaining and just let them race...and us to enjoy it!

IrishJ9, If you dont like or are enjoying the Tdf this year just switch your TV off and then you'll have nothing to complain about.

Found yesterday racing exciting particulary with the main bunch bearing down on them, never thought i'd be supporting a  frenchman but was shouting for Fedrigo and Pellizotti to stay clear after working so hard and Fedrigo to win.
