Great, the campy groupo is chourus (wheelset being sold to me) and I will replace that with my 105 cluster etc... If it is too much of a mission then I would rather not.

 

with some makes it's just a matter of changing freewheel bodies which can work out to about R1000.

You can get cassette's that will fit a Campag wheel, but have Shimano spacing and visa versa. There is no need to change the freewheel. I know somebody who has bought one.

 

I don't have time to look for the exact link, but they have them at www.chainreactioncycles.com Go to the drivetrain section and look for cassettes. If my memory serves me correct, they will cost about R500 delivered to your door.

 

Local bike shops may sell them too.

You mean like this:

 

Nickel plated 10 speed cassettes either Campagnolo or Shimano compatible versions plus Shimano Spline with 10 speed Campagnolo spacing.

 

?

 

I've not seen any that go the other way though...
