What Alberto should do is collect yellow on Sunday and then collectively tell Astana, Bruyneel et al to f*ck off!!! he needs to find a team that is supportive unconditionally and not condescending of his talents.

Lance is a winner in this whichever way you look at it as the master political animal that he is!! Had he won the tour it would have been "how great I am" and if it didn't come to pass it now is "what a humble and hardworking team mate I am". Lost all respect that I had for this ****!! Long live Filippo Simeoni!!!

Lance is playing the domestique role to contador and so was kloden until Alberto attacked him and dropped him' date=' dont think he was to happy with that move.[/quote']

no he wasn't. he couldn't hold on when the foursome went clear. he marked wiggins only to protect himself. even without contador's attack, i reckon lance would've lost his position in the gc.
Kloden's bolt was long shot already!! He couldn't even hold his masters wheel over the line!! Anyways I thought the focus was to take yellow and not about who collects the remainder of the podium! Clearly not though at Astana??

I dont think Contador will want to wait around that long until Dopestrong comes over the finish line.

Its a matter of opinion, and critics will look at it differently If Lance was in that break and went for it isolating Kloden he would be slaughtered by his critcs, if lance had ignored wiigins who was a feared TT specialist as a threat and brought wiigins up to join kloden (and he showed he was able to), he would be slaughtered, if lance had not covered all the moves before the break he would have been called a wheel sucker. IMO the most stupid thing of the tour has been the selfish Contador move against his managers instruction.

Still Contador has been the best rider on tour, if he has not got his team support perhaps he should be asking himself why.

because the manager told them not too? but you do have a point. even gallopin, who has been contador's mentor this season, said he shouldn't have gone.

Cyclingnewsfeed Contador questioned:

http://bit.ly/aIIi9

This was the attack up Verbier

"For Contador, with an effort of twenty minutes at 90% VO2max, weight of 62 kg, maximum aerobic power is 493 watts, which gives an oxygen consumption of 6.17 liters / min: 99.5 ml / min / kg!" Vayer wrote.

Andrew Coggan:

"Taking everything into consideration, I'd say that a more reasonable

estimate of Contador's power during that ascent is about 450 W, which

would require a sustained VO2 of 'only' 80 mL/kg/min. That is still

quite high, but not so high that you can definitively state that it can

only be achieved via doping."

Contador steadfastly refused to answer reporters' questions about his

aerobic capacity in his post-race press conference on Thursday,

repeating the phrase "next question" until the media focused on the

race.

So you choose... Confused

Di Luc I mean Contador is still a helluva rider! I say the dudes innocent until proven guilty, LA style Wink

UTTER CRAP?????? ...... most of you will know that any squad..... from the army to a cycling squad will be directionless and headless if there is no designated leader. If Bryuneel and the management team did not do that' date=' we will not know will we?????, they are at "blame". Not one of us knows what ANY of the riders still has in reserve....... even though we may "profess" ourselves as excellent assessors of another persons apparent powers.

I agree...... this whole posting is "UTTER CRAP"!!!!!! A lot of wannabe cyclists trying to asses the best professional cycling team currently in cycling....... sit eerder voor die TV en munch nog peanuts en luiter na Phil..... you will be better off dong just that...... sheim!!!!!!!!

Must say I'm getting a bit bored of the Hub "anti lance campaign".

Agreed, Contador is a great cyclist, but is also as innocent in doping as lance.

At his peak, LA would have smoked Contador.

hey Prep H, if you had any interest in the subject, you'd know there wasn't a designated leader of the squad until lance got handed his ass on a plate on the way to verbier.

So the number 21 on his Contodors back was just to make him feel important then?
