'Dale Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 Me and MariusL hit the tarmac to Somerset West via Blackheath, Eersterivier. Returned via S'bosch and Klapmuts. Hooked up with Sarel, on his 5 hr ride, and had a good ride. It was Brrrrrr out there at times with great views of the mountains and valleys. Another 100 kms - yeeesss! Base training is going lekka funky.

Long, flat route route: Wellington robots to Malmesbury & back via Kalbaskraal, Old Malmesbury Rd, and Adderley Street - 100 kms or so. WHAT I REALLY WANNA GET MY CADENCE INTO SOON: Challenging and hilly: Bottelary > Kromme Rhee > Helshoogte > Klapmuts > Frankie's Corner Shop > Fisantekraal > Wellington Rd - 100 kms or so. Wannabe Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 MariusL, no probs, enjoy your ride. Prefer to use the Mtb on the wet roads. Cuts down on uneccessary wear and tear on road bike, caused by wet weather/muck/grime/etc on roads.
