Anybody not racing this Sunday that will be interested in a relaxed ride on Saturday?

Not at the crack of dawn, and between 60-80km. Avg 25-28km/h.

Time and route Andre, might join? :whistling:

Excellent suggestion, Dale. ML, we can cut out a section at the start and then fit in the Koeberg rd section at the end. Should still give us round about 65km.

edit: I'll plan a route on Map my ride to include the Phillidelphia / Koeberg section.

Yeah, cool, Wannabe.

It's my swaertjie's first D Ville race.

Wanna ensure he gets the best prep as those rollers can kick azzz with the South Easter.

With the road works on Wellington/Malmesbury Road, do you guys think they might to the 99er detour where you start out on the Koeberg Road and around/right at the silos until you get to the R312 again past Fisantekraal?

I asked the guys busy working there. They told me the roadworks should be finished by the end of the month.

That road is looking good.

Awesome smooth surface. Big shoulder area.

I'll be there.

Just need to sort out my front wheel. Took it into the shop and the wheel was seriously out of alignment. The hub is finished. Looks like I need to get a new wheel. Need to scrounge a bit for some extra cash. Eish

Hey, big guy...

So how was your 1st race of the season?

We'll be there!! Will be packing at least 10 tubes this time!!!! Why oh why do I always get flats??? :cursing: Would love to finish a funride without stopping to fix a puncture

That's a tough start to racing, MM...

Hopefully the 3 punctures at the Engen was your allotted quota for the year!

So how was your 1st race of the season?

Horrible to be honest. I am seriously unfit and my legs bombed after 40km. It was a very looooooooong race from there. I can't believe how unfit I I have become. Thinking back about the race, I don't even think its a very difficult route.

Well, you have to start somewhere and I can only improve.

Ow!

Cool, M, string those rides together.

Hope to see you line up at the WCE and/or D Ville High School race.

I was planning to do the WCE, but I have some big deadlines due for the end of the month. I might have to give the races a skip and get the work out of the way.
