Just passed the Durmonte robots where there was an accident between

a taxi and a cyclist! Police was picking up pieces of the bike! Couldn't see the cyclist. Hope he/she is ok??

Oh no...

I was out there this morning. What time was that, MM?

Taxi drivers there scares the hell out of me, especialy the ones coming down Brackenfell Boulevard and turning right onto Klipheuwel rd. They come barreling down the road, rush over the intersection (skipping the red traffic light as they do so), just to slam on brakes and stop halfway in the roadway to pick up anothe customer. Coming from Klipheuwel direction they just turn left in B/b-vard, no worries about the cyclists that might be in the intersection already. It is mostly the ones using the Toyota Ventures as Taxis that behaves like this.

Hope the cyclist is OK. (Lots of workers that commutes into town that uses that road in the mornings and afternoons)

It was a venture taxi! The thing is that most of those commuters don't wear helmets. Maybe I should buy a few and give them out every morning when I ride..........

What pace / intensity you gonna roll at, Wannabe?

Posted

Depending on the intensity of the wind, between 25-28km/h.

I have some HDFU, but are we going even if it's raining?

You and Rolland are gonna do some pullingwhistling.gif ...but I'm there!!

Rain = thumbdown.gif

Drizzle = thumbup1.gif

Will have to use your own judgement closer to the time.
