You riding your bike, KT.

Is winter coming on strongly in the North yet?

Waffle Waffle !!!! whistling.gif biggrin.png

It's not me I'm worried about so much, but the unnecessary and accelerated wear and tear on the bike, caused by riding in the rain. All those road grime cannot be good for a bike.

Not to talk about the reduced visibility, we are near invisible to motorist under ideal conditions, in the murk of rain in the late afternoon, eish, I dunno......

Ja G.....full on winter here. I was saying to Woolfie (he and I are following each other on Strava) that for the past month or so, I've been riding (doing my early morning training rides) in anything from -4degC to 3deg temps, with wind and rain. If I don't do this, then you don't get to ride your bike !!!! If I ever get back to Kaapstad, I will never complain about the Cape Doctor or NW rains again......besides I have all the winter kit, I would ever need mate!!!

@Wannabe........( as I'm in a place far worse for weather than you mate ph34r.png )...if you wash, lube and clean your bike after a bad weather ride, there should be no reason why wear and tear will stop you rideing, HTFU&MTFU man !!!! Hahahaha just kidding.....take care guys....I wouldn't be comfortable with riding my bike at the DC with all the crap happening there, no matter what the race organisers say!

What pace / intensity you gonna roll at, Wannabe?

I have some HDFU, but are we going even if it's raining?

You and Rolland are gonna do some pullingwhistling.gif ...but I'm there!!

Guys and Gal.

Raining quite hard at present. Just been up to the buildings roof, overcast and raining all around. RIDE IS CALLED OFF.

If not raining tomorrow, I'll do a quick out and back ride down Klipheuwel to the Silo's and back (time constraints)

Rain in the heart of November.

Wow!

My garden smiles.

@headhunter

Yeah. The northern hemisphere is rough.

If you have the right gear, you can roll.

Plus you have some big reasons to train with those objectives of yours.

Don't think much riding will be done this afternoon. If the wind is howling already, just imagine it later this afternoon. cursing.gif thumbdown.gif

Had the same thought........ spinning class for me then:)
