You guys seem like serious riders. Is there a splinter group doing between 40 -60km rides @ 25 - 28km/h?

I typically roll that distance on weekdays, Ant85. Even less.

The 3-4 hr rides of 80 - 120 kms are normally on weekend days.

My niece in Durbanville is looking for a group of absolute beginners too hook up with to start riding to try and get fitter.

She has bought a Macro special mtb

She lives close to the Mediclinic

Any ladies riding in that area?

All the best with your League campaign tomorrow, man - you are gonna race there, né?

Thanks

Seriously worried that I'm biting off more than I can chew, but you'll never know unless you give it a shot!

I assume your not riding tomorrow or is a serious hill climb session a day before part of the secret strategy? ^_^

Nah, no League campaign this Summer.

Too many other higher prioirities.

Most likely Spring again.

Advice for your debut:

1. Learn how to race in the 1st season. Almost, ignore your results.

2. Get to grips with the bleeding-from-your-ears tempo.

3. Appreciate how the team dynamics work as it affect the solo rider. This can be tough.

Good luck.

Rolling this morning on a breakfast ride 'see toe'.

That new link road to Sunningdale area is pretty cool.

The course back to D Ville always ends with a climbing finish, no matter where you roll.
