Sorry Alec, only saw the post now.

Yes, we went to Greenpoint via cycle paths and back via Blouberg.

Had a very relaxed LSD ride with avg of only 23.5km/h over the 103km we did.

What a brilliant morning on the bike it was.

We plan to do the Tygerberg trails this coming Saturday, you keen?

Had a Nice 145km ride this morning. Just be on the look out for glass. It is every where. Had a bad cut on 110km, but went on with my ride.

Sounds rof, Gerlach

Does anyone know if there is still a road group riding early mornings (05:00) in the Bellville/Durbanville area? I have one week left for base training and will have to split my rides into morning and evening rides (back at work again).

The Hawaiian volcano of Mauna Kea ("white mountain") is considered one of the most extreme cycling climbs in the world. From the beach in Hilo to the telescopes at the summit it's 4,200m of altitude gain in one continuous climb of nearly 70km. In fact, so large is Mauna Kea that if you measure from its actual base (many kilometres below the ocean) it's height is more than 10,000m, making it the tallest mountain on Earth.

(That'll warm me up)
