Such great guys hey! :P

I was one of the wheelsuckers towards the end. Hanging back in position 5 or 6.

Last season I used to work hard with pacing towards the end and then fizzle out like a cheap firecracker.

This year, working on consistent form throughout the race - from start to finish.

Racing is the best form of training, for sure!

Don't know the Durbanville roadies yet, but if you're interested - a couple of guys are training tomorrow morning starting at 5h45 from the T-robot between the trees (Racecourse Rd/Tygerbergvalley Rd). Tiekies - Conters - Malans down & same route back. From my house in D'Urbanvake it is 46km and we normally average around 30km/h. KOM for Malanshoogte!

Let's make the circle bigger!

Let me know...

What a great ride this morning! Perfecto! 47km with 29.5km/h average for me. And for strength training we did Malans in big blades. Most of us will ride on Tuesdays mornings and some also on Thursdays mornings - same route and time. So we'll see you all next Tuesday at least!?

I'm out for Thursdays, because doing Wednesday Killarney including the cycling there and back.

That is quite a feat.

SirK, give me advance warning when you come from behind, so that I have enough time to hook the bungee cord on. :P :D

Will try Wannabe, but I see part of our route is the first loop of the One Tonner..... gonna be tough!

Do we climb Botmans again? The more I climb it, the easier it seems to get.(not) <_<

Thursday 28/10.

Departing corner St Johns and Racecourse at 5:30 a.m., riding out of Durbanville on Wellington, turning around at 6:15 or Paedophilia Rd, whichever comes first.

Aim to average 28-30km/h depending on how the mood takes.

Sounds like I'm not gonna be able to make it. Will fly up to Jhb either today or tomorrow and drive back again over the weekend. Must collect a new vehicle for our Company (also gives me a chance to bring some of my cycling goodies back home)

That's breek guy! Here I was willing to give you a boost half way through the race :P Enjoy the drive man. Will miss you in the chute. Safe travels and see you soon.

I am feeling awesomely strong today but got blocked sinuses! WTF! I have lost a bit of weight too (2.5Kg - just to brag) :D will help with the climbs this Saturday coz we got a hell of a lot to climb.

Check you guys (that are riding) at the Durbanville Race..... just to check - does the race finish on that long climb towards Durbanville along Adderley road?
