the good old days' date=' how I miss (not) the HOURS in the sun or rain waiting for a backup vehicle to pick me up - NEVER AGAIN!!! [/quote']

Yeah i have to agree, idd rather cycle 1 hour more per week to make up the Tubby/Clinchers rolling resistance difference. For that amount of hassle for a tires/puncture and not even to mention the price, for me its just not worth it.

How easy is it to buy tufo tyres locally? Been thinkingof getting tubbies as well, but never really had a look at shops to see what they stock in regards with tubbies.

Is this your first IM, is it a once off affair or are you a regular. If it is a once off or you are not going for a high placing role clinchers are the way to go, otherwise tubbies can ruin your race. I think the best clinchers and rim combinations will get very close to tubbies, and will be cheeper as well. Save yourself the peace of mind and go clinchers, I have seen soo many races ruined by tubbies.

It would be my third. I have settled on clinchers, to many stories of guys walking to the end. I would also be able to train on them a bit more. Looking at Hed Jet 6.
