Not stupid at all, I would say probably no it wont effect the bonded lugs.

But then there is always that slim chance it may.

Are you planning on taking the clear coat off?

I am contemplating it. After 20 years it is not looking to good, although not that bad either.

Ok, Rolls mounted on a FSA post for now. Tightened slowly but surely. Will remove post and saddle as soon as new saddle arrives. I have a Ritchey post waiting patiently for it. It's not for a retro build though.. Rolls will go back in storage for something special one day.

We always hold things back "for something special" and then we die and it gets tossed in the dumpster. Just use the bloody thing, Cippo!

Who, where, when? Let me know and I might join you riding this old one! (Sorry, couldn't resist putting another picture on.)

Just be careful to look after that wood handle pump and the big headlight as I'm still searching for those. I have the dynamo, but the light is missing. I have the mounts for the pump but the original old pump that was made of copper, is missing.

Hi, all

Anyone have any info on a bicycle named "Gemini"?

I purchased the frame with an old style unthreaded 1" Time carbon fork.

The info I have manage to gather places it as an Australian/New Zealand marque, and they no longer make frames.

It had an 853 sticker on it, but was not covered in clearcoat, so perhaps a giveaway that it was put on afterward.

It has lugwork arund the BB and headtube, but seems to be fillet-brazed at the seat-tube.

Dropouts are Columbus, so I assumed that there would probably not be Reynolds Tubing with Columbus dropouts, although this is not impossible.

I may be refurbishing it at some stage, so need info to get proper declas etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Thanks - will post when I have had it done. I thought it interesting that the seat tube extends a bit further than normal out of the cluster. The frame is 56cm c to c, but looks quite a bit smaller to the naked eye, I thought.

This looks an out and out racing frame - clearance is tight, even for 23mm tyre.

Could be a nervy ride.

I'll decide what to do over the next few weeks.

Cheers
