Stunning job by the way.....!! Must admit I love what they did with the Italian flag on the top tube....

That Italian flag signifies that it was made for Battaglin by the Billato brothers. They made the top of the range bikes for Battaglin, Ciocc, Concorde and many others, which is why you will see that flag on those brands from that period.

The flag is an actual braze-on which has then been painted. I am really loving this bike which will go into my to-keep collection.

I may have found a C Record crank but apparently its very scratched. If so, will strip off anodising and highly sand, polish and then re-coat.

Love the detail on the brake bridge, and the fully chromed frame with that blue paint over it, so much depth.

Scott1 are you sure its 1984? It is probably late 90's. The 50th Anniversary groupset was released in 1983 and the newer groupsets were released in 1995 under Chorus and Record etc. 8 speed was introduced in 1991 and 9 speed in 1997.

Unfortunately, didn't have the time to weigh the bike but its pretty light with those tubbies.

Hope the owner allows me to have a ride sometime!

Going to look very sexy with some NOS time pedals.
