Yip, I sold my MB Zip earlier this year. It was my first mountain bike. Got it new in 1989 / 90. I new I would regret selling it!!! :(

Maybe around R4000.00??

Thanks, may be able to get hold of a mint one, but had no idea of the value.

George is a legend and like you say, you'll need to be prepared to scratch around but it'll be worth the scratch. When I was there he had an old TVT frame which was my dream bike as a kid, has a broken rear stay but he's going to fix it for himself.

He has some really great NOS rims in his shop with some nice old frames too.

Today - being my second last day - 'JOB LESS' - I decided to strip my Kogas original wheels down since the braking surface of the rims was shot,

I started at 10H00 - removed the spokes and cassett, - the original Shimano hubs were - sad looking under a few layers of paint..

I used elbow grease - hot water and brasso, and at 14H00 -

My Shimano hubs looked brand new..

I am looking to lace these puppies into some aero deep dish rims, - 36 spoke deep dish - seem to be scarce,

If anyone has 2 - 36 spoke deep dish rims - I am looking to buy

I've got some Mavic CXP30 rims. They're about as deep a dish rim you'll be able to find with 36 holes.
