DownhillingKing Posted April 11, 2010 Share Well hopefully in the winter I will be coaching and that pays a *** load better than being a sales man in a bike shop. Whats the diff between a 4X and slopestyle bike?
Capricorn Posted April 11, 2010 Share not much dude. AFAIK, there is zero difference in geometry. it's all in the travel. Obviously, the geo's for lower travel suspension will be reflected in hte HAs. but that's about it. what kinda coaching?
DownhillingKing Posted April 11, 2010 Share Teaching people how to sail a boat. I get to drive a rubber duck around in circle for a hole day and get paid for it. How much travel does a 4X bike have
Capricorn Posted April 11, 2010 Share i reckon between 4 - 6" of travel up front, with either HT or low travel at the rear. If u see how they hit those rollers, u understand why a hardtail makes sense.

DownhillingKing Posted April 11, 2010 Share Dam I think they only made the scott nitrous slope style for the team only. O and the bolt that hold my shock in place on the rear triangle snaped today.
Capricorn Posted April 11, 2010 Share omw murray:u have the worst luck when it comes to your sled's hardware. But it just means that u need to check things that you might not have checked, or checked properly. As long as your shock's ok, a snapped shaft aint a biggey.
