guys i broke my headset today, i was in the lubing/fixing mood and i lubed the seat stuf and its quiet again, YAY.....and i lubed pretty much everything else too

 

but now i got a clunk clunk from the headset which i loosed/broke it think, by mistake. and i cant fiqure out how it works so ill have to send it in to LBS tomorrrow....

yes. as i explained previously, if you are buying as foreigner, you do not get charged the VAT rates applicable to the UK< which is 17.5% IIRC.

 

So yes, it's VAT free from CRC's perspective, but you get nailed when it lands here.

A question,...

To make going up the hills/mnts easier - are there double chainring set ups?

I have a specialised big hit 1 2008 running a Truvativ Ruktion, 170mm w/ SBC chain guide..

I was hoping that I could add a second smaller chain ring and front derailer.. shifter setup - is this possible?

 

In 1998 I rode a DH Giant - had triple chainrings......

Yes have a look at the truvativ shift guide or even the all mighty hammerschmit

Sorry hammerschmit won't fit on your bike and you need external BB cups for the shift guide

This is what you need if you want to go the Truvative route.

 

Truvative cranks:

Ruktion, hussefelt, holtzfeller   (howitzer interface)   +-R900  (new)

 

Truvative Howitzer BB (howitzer interface)   +-R550   (new)

 

Truvative Shift guide   (doube ring) +-R500     (new)

Im running 2 chainrings,

Ruktion cranks, Howitzer team BB and then the shift guide. really nice
