foot pain

Hi All

At round 90km on Monday, my toes felt like they were on fire.

Came right after a minute or two of soft pedalling but hurt like hell.

Anyone know what the cause could be?

Check that you're not pushing your toes into the nose of your shoe - the opposite reaction will be to kick back into the heel of the shoe.

Alternative way of explaining this. Try stand on your toes while cleated and then sit, drop you heels. You'll see the pressure moving off your toes.

I had the same problem. I now use Specialized inners in my shoes and the problem is solved.

check your saddle height. remember your foot should be parallel to the floor when your crank is at 05h30 and your leg is straight.

Alternatively get new shoes and pedals immediately. INVEST in this regard!! do not skimp
