mullet Posted April 19, 2007 Share Hello ouens, I am gearing up for the san2c next year. Would you do the sani2c with an RM4 or not?
Thug Posted April 20, 2007 Share No reason why not. If guys can do the Epic on a rigid, then riding the RM4 should be plain sailing.

scotty Posted April 20, 2007 Share Not to mention on a single speed. I know a guy who's done it Sani 2x on a Raleigh RM team, HT with V brakes.

Thug Posted April 20, 2007 Share Hmmm... hardcore or sick?? Probably a bit of both Wouldn't be my weapon of choice, but for someone else.....
Velouria Posted April 20, 2007 Share I did two 24hr solo rides on a RM7 (and countless other enduro events). An RM 4 will be fine. Just make sure you train lots on it.
Mudsimus Posted April 20, 2007 Share I dont get it? Why is it so "HARDCORE" to do any MTB event on a hardtail?
mrmed Posted April 20, 2007 Share I don't think you should do the sani2C with a RM4, I think you should do the Sani2C with me. Dammit, I wish i could get an entry!

SARA Posted April 20, 2007 Share Racing? hardtail. Loving it? full sus.Hardtail, you have to minimize time on the bike to reduce time for fatigue to set in. This happens faster on a hardtail cos it's harder on your body.On a full sus you can enjoy the daisies a bit more cos you body doesn't takeas much of a beating. Your recovery time will also be faster after a full sus. Less damage to your poor body. In my opinion anyway.
Velouria Posted April 20, 2007 Share SARA - was that you on the R44 yesterday evening? Or some other person in a pink Mason's top??
SARA Posted April 20, 2007 Share Not I, I hang out in Cape Town nowadays. It was post probably Annalee, very strong on the road bike. Simonstown and back on Thursdays. Boring as it gets but the only safe-ish flatish bit round here.
Velouria Posted April 20, 2007 Share Glad you didn't see me then - I has trying to hang onto the back wheel of a farm labourer wearing jeans and takkies on his rather worse for wear mtb bike. I took a bit of a detour via Eden home - well worth it.
