It seems if you have 2 problems, chain suck and wheels not running smoothly. Do as Spinnekop suggested and put a thinner grease on. I am sure Bontrager wheels indicated a 400km "ride in" period, and that you may need similar km on your CC's. w-endfan2007-05-10 00:06:22

Thanks people!

Took them in - and all appears to be sorted!

Still a little bit sticky - but already a huge improvement, and they are getting better each time I go out....

Am chomping through my brake pads - cause suddenly a free-wheel down a hill is way, way more fast Big%20smile

What a difference - joy!!

Thanks again!

Don't worry.  Worst that can happen is you get chainsuck.  Mavic freewheel bodies LOVES to do this.  The body has two little springs that pushes out the "wings" (For a lack of a better word) that makes the freewheel go grrrrrrrr.....if there is too much grease in there' date=' the wings doesnt kick out and you know what happens from there.

Open the body.  Remove excess grease and put back....problem solved.

Aren't they called pawls, not wings?
