How do you show your commitment?

Hello

I would like to hear some hubbers ideas of their commitment to their FUN.

Is it the shaved legs?

Is it cycling with a camelbak?

Is it cycling with the tail markers and stopping to help...?

Is it getting up at 05h00 to go riding?

Is it phoning everyone through the week, to get partners to join you on the bike?

Is it riding as planned, so what if it is raining / windy?

Is it the diet through winter, preparing for the summer?

Enjoy Guys and Gals

Cycle safely

for me it's knowing my competition will be up at 4h30 training so come race day if I sleep in I will be found wanting! come rain or shine the thought of them training and me not keeps me going, great thing is I can see their faces in my head!!

Also really really really want to represent SA in triathlon so that scares me into getting my body out the door! and there's nothing better than a good hard session after work to bring your mind back down to reality!

2 people in my office decided to do 94.7 this year .... they're non-cyclists, non-sporty people, and smokers.

it's my little 'project' to get them to finish the 94.7 in 6 hours.

one has given up smoking since a month ago when we started training (that is, how do gears work, how to balance the bike, riding in a straight line)

one of them finished the 40 kays in Dome 2 Dome today!! in 2:24, on a hardtail with knobblies ... her first 'race' ever, and the first medal since pre-school .... thank you to all the fast people who encouraged her as they passed her Big%20smile

When you just stare at your bike at night, make sure everything is perfect, fiddle just for the sake of doing so,clean the mtb just to make it dirty again, spend time experimenting whats good and what isnt, and by when you talk to a fellow cyclist about cycling, you just feel that passion for the sport

Only shave my legs the night before a race, which happens like twice a month, ride to work and back Monday to Thursday, then go for a ride in Giba on Sunday, just bought a Hydration pack as my bike frame doesn't allow me to put a water bottle on it.. as for the diet, pfffft, still eating junk food in between and having a beer every night

Yip, that's me. Bikes stand between the lounge and the kitchen (open plan) and at night when it's time to switched off the lights, you just stand and look at them and give the rear wheels a spin to hear the freewheel and you think to yourself "life is brilliant".
