I asked on Sat at the MTB race.....i was told if you paid by card it would be refunded straight back into it....who knows...

I got my refund!!!!

 

Thanks to the organisers and sorry you got dropped. The OUTride

is a great event.

 

I heard a rumour that TMPD ****ed up the road closure. Sounds

like the most reasonable excuse to me. I can't imagine money could

have been a problem with the backing of OUTsurance (I'm

insured through them, so I should frikkin' well know...).

From what I understand, the TMDP at the last minute wanted a huge amount of money for the road closure and the race organisers simply could not fork it out.  That is when the TMPD pulled out.  One can just shake your head for the Tshwane Metro guys.  Here they had a race that was starting to grow nicely that could have become a nice income for them every year and now they just slammed the door on it.  Wonder if this race will still have a future?
