No doubt the worlds top cyclists riding Specialized get their toys replaced as often as necessary and will have a spare bike or two in the team truck. (the rest of us simply cry when something that expensive breaks yet again... thats my stick in the hornets nest

Yes I do. Spec frames don't brake or crack for nothing. They had a bad spell with alu and carbon frames, but sorted it. Seemingly. But their suspensions are horrible. Overrated, under performing, over-priced junk. Even Marzoc caught up and passed. Geo on the frames is good (all of them), handling is good on most of the bikes, super light weights are achieved by compromising on strength and durability.   There all my thoughts on Specialized.   Now as far as you are concerned: Every now and again their is a long debate on The Hub with people debating opinions. Fair enough, every one is entitled to their own. You know what they say about poephol?    But every so often a guy comes along who ruk die dam. Argues like an idiot and flames everyone who doesn't agree before he gets personal and then goes over the top. Welcome to The Hub jayz.   When you raized your opinion on Single Pivots I was thinking, okay not everybody can agree on everything. I read your Spec thread, this one, and thought, okay so he is childish and unbalanced but hey, let him have his say. THEN I read your opinion on tires...and BAM! Out of the door your rep goes. What a load of nonsense. I'm sure if spec finds out you are batting for them they will offer you your money back.   Excuse me for becoming personal and unnecessary. But chill out dude. The Hub is a happy place where you are more than welcome to argue and fight. But be mature and respect fellow hubbers.

Iwan Kemp Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 No, not at all. The Demo 8 is a great bike. Most Spec bikes WITHOUT Spec suspension is. Sorted geo and handling. Demo is a bit long for some people, but others love it. You are one of them!   Didn't care much for pre 09 Epic (ride too hard) and don't care much for the Stumpy (rides like a long XC bike rather than a trail bike), but the others are cool. Enduro, Pitch, Rockhopper...all good bikes.   Still have the goggles, let me know.
