they are starting to wake up now. On the training ride there was one that got ridden over by a car. Cry

I don't dig snakes.

I get the heebidigeebies just looking at that picture.

 

I think I would panic if I were to see one in the flesh...

It was very lazy to stike, just tried to flee at quite a pace... 

Was just West of Uitenhage... not near CT :)

OK I looked at your vid - cool!

 

two comments:

 

 

 

The one I saw was almost twice that size!

 

 

 

second is: what would have been pants wetting funny would have been if he had bitten a hole in your tyre!!

Those bliksems are responsible for the most snake deaths in Africa per annum. Mostly by people standing on them, they are quite lazy. You lucky to spot one like that, they are amazing creatures.

I had a close encouter of the snake kind this summer, i think it was a rinkhuls, i feel and the snake reared luckly it turn and disappered

I also don't like snakes... A Puff Adder bit my father in the mountains in 2003 and it took months to heal...

 

I frequently encounter snakes where I train... Adders and others and the odd Cape Cobra...
